Wikki Afterthought

I went back into the 2.0 learning link and found out that when you go onto a Wikki site, you can register and then all of your editing is put under your name..this answers my question about how you know you are getting accurate info or not.. You actually take some responsibility for what you post.

Thing #7 Wikki

So, a Wikki is a site that can be edited by anyone. Very interesting..But I have to ask some questions about this: Such as, If anyone can edit the site, how do you know that the information you are getting is accurate? I visited a library Wikki site from St. Joseph MI. On it was a link to geneology. I went on and printed up an ancestral chart. I think it would be great fun to do some geneology, although one of my cousins on my mom's side has already done quite an extensive dig about 10 years ago. Maybe I can do my dad's side.

Thing 5 Podcasting - I have seen YOuTube podcasts. Some are great! I have seen alot of politcal podcasts..there is library channel on podcast.com that is interesting..tours of libraries, etc.

I have done some photo uploading to a site called shutterfly.com. I store my photos there. I may give Flickr a whirl, seems to be more of a sharing site than shutterfly. I love to take pictures!

Interesting - Facebook, although I am not one of those "out there" types..I have received some requests form other "Cucchi's" to be "my friend"!!! I believe they live in Italy!!! How fast we are found when in cyberspace!
